Yanagisawa & RICO artist Dan Forshaw is an accomplished workshop leader having lead workshops for a number of organisations including the International Association of Jazz Educators, (IAJE) at a number of jazz festivals across the UK.
A passionate educator, Dan seeks to engage students of all ages and abilities in a musical conversation that will lead to progress, no matter what the starting point. As the former Director of Jazz studies at the Sir Thomas Beecham Music School, Dan has a strong pedigree in music education. His 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams across 12 years and over 150 entrants is testament to his unique skills as a teacher, motivator and leader.
